“We envision a Kalamazoo Community that honors dignity, fosters community bonds, and values the environment.”
- ENNA Foundation Board
Why We Give
We believe that communities thrive when they are:
sufficiently resourced
safe to connect and build trust
invited to solve problems and shape their own future
In these conditions, we know that communities can:
mend what’s been broken
grow what’s already working
imagine what does not yet exist
What We Fund
We support organizations that:
deepen collective capacity
restore social connection
bridge differences
dismantle systemic barriers
We invite partners to:
experiment
adapt
grow collective strength
create imaginative and sustainable paths forward
How We Work
We strive to:
resist the illusion of separateness
pay attention to what’s emerging around us
practice accountability
engage in reciprocity
participate in power-with models of partnership
We understand that change in complex systems requires:
patience
curiosity
creativity
vulnerability
willingness to fail and learn from failure
